How to draw inspiration from reality TV.
Nowadays, weddings have become more than just a union of a man and a woman. Every couple wants to have a special wedding and brides particularly insist on having a unique ceremony that her guests will remember for years to come.
Whenever couples decide to get married, they largely underestimate the amount of work that needs to be done in so little time. Sometimes it seems impossible to start planning and many women get stuck when it comes to details.
That’s when reality TV takes over and aims to help all those struggling brides out there who are looking for some inspiration.
The first one that I am thinking about is “Don’t Tell The Bride”. The show’s format consists of a couple who is given £12, 000 to spend on their dream wedding day.
However, they must spend three weeks apart and the groom must organise every aspect of the wedding, without telling the bride.
Then, there is “Four Weddings”, following a similar style to “Come Dine With Me”. It involves four couples attending each other’s wedding and rating them on dresses, venues, food and the overall experience.
“Say Yes To The Dress” is an American reality show that focuses on the ability of the bride’s friends and family to find the “perfect dress” to help the bride overcome struggle with weight and other body image concerns.
Finally, for whoever is in need of some culinary tips, there is “I do…Let’s Eat”. The main focus of the show is the wedding banquet of couples from different origins. The menu is assembled according to the ethnicity of the bride and groom and their families. The chef takes a leading role in each episode.
If you are feeling indecisive and your wedding day is fast approaching, turn the TV on and watch one of these very popular wedding TV shows.
