No better inspiration for unique wedding dresses than the red carpet at the Oscars 2015
Break the mould this season with some celebrity red carpet inspired wedding dresses from the 2015 Oscars.
First dazzling us with her princess-chic style in 2014, Lupita is always a fabulous inspiration for modern wedding dresses. This year, her Calvin Klein made dress featured a halter neck and daring scooped back detail—how could we forget the 6, 000 pearls adorning the beautiful gown! With as many stones as that, jewellery may not be needed!
Speaking of princess wedding dresses, Jennifer showed she deserved to go the ball in this Elie Saab Couture dress. The sequinned nude dress this time with a daring plunging neckline and embroidered bodice may be a bit risqué for some but great inspiration for those looking for some added sparkle and a showstopper for their big day.
The Best Actress Winner looked lovely in this white Karl Lagerfeld organza gown. 80, 000 small hand-painted sequins featured on this original dress and created a magnificent shimmering effect while Julianne strutted her stuff on the red carpet. Clearly not everyone may have 30 or so workers on hand to hand paint sequins, but the cut and finish of the dress makes for a great silhouette for those wanting to show a little curve on their wedding day or add something extra special for the reception.
The young actress/singer broke convention with her style at this year’s Academy Awards. Her all white Vivienne Westwood satin gown is best suited to those having a more chilled, jazz/1920’s inspired wedding theme. The off-the-shoulder accent simply adds the much desired allure every bride wants on their wedding day.
Plunging necklines seemed to be the trend at the Oscars 2015 and hardly ever considered for the more demure styles of wedding dresses; however Oprah gives a great deal of inspiration in this Vera Wang custom gown. The draping and cinched-in waist with the silk tulle detail make for a classy design brides everywhere would look stunning in!
