Because your wedding just wouldn’t be the same without your trusty companion by your side
Your wedding will be the happiest day of your life, and we believe that all of your closest companions should be able to share in the festivities- whether they walk on four legs or on two!
After all, they say a dog is a man’s best friend and would you really exclude your best friend from your wedding?
Of course not!
Your feline friends may not require a formal invitation, but there are many adorable ways that you can include them in the celebrations. From a ring-bearing kitten to a loveable (and slightly slobbery) photo prop, we have it covered with these quirky ideas for making sure your pets have a place at your wedding:
Your pet can play a part in your wedding from the very beginning of your journey to matrimony. Tie the ring to their collar and use your loyal companion to propose- the puppy dog eyes will do all the work for you. It’s quite possibly the cutest way to pop the question, and you’ll find that your partner will find it extremely difficult to say no. Come on, could you really say no to this face?
Save the date
Announce your special date with your pet by your side. Giving your save the date cards a quirky twist will prepare your guests for all the fun that is to come!
Dress them up
One thing's for certain- if your pets are to have a place at your wedding they must be dressed for the occasion. Adorn your four-legged friend with flowers and ribbons, and if you’re lucky enough to have two, dress them up as bride and groom! This way, your pets will take centre stage with you and your partner, and they’ll look adorable in the photographs.
Travel in style
Is there more of a romantic way to travel down the aisle than on horseback? We think not. If you’re a girl who’s lucky enough to own a horse, this is the perfect opportunity to put its hoofs to good use. For a wedding fresh from a fairytale use your loyal stallion to get you from A to B, whether it be down the aisle, or even to your reception.
This one may need some training, but the ‘oohs’ and ‘ahhs’ that will meet your pet’s descent down the aisle will make all your efforts worthwhile. If you’re feeling brave, let your pet bring you the ring solo, or alternatively let your flower girl take the lead (literally). Remember- dogs and cats aren’t the only pets that can play a part in your wedding. If you don’t mind waiting around, add some comedy to your wedding and allow your trusty tortoise to (eventually) bring you the ring.
Using your pets in your wedding photography is a great way of adding an individual and personal touch to your wedding photographs. When your pets eventually pass away, you’ll be able to remember them sharing your special day with you with fond and loving memories. Get inventive with your photos - you can use your pets to make them as serious or as humorous as you like.
