This couple has always had a reputation for keeping their relationship and family life private and their wedding day was no different. The day was just as much about their children as it was about the two of them. Angelina said herself in interviews that this day was a symbol of the family coming together and staying together forever.

Grace Kelly, and indeed her private life and wedding will go down as one of the most illustrious in history. Becoming a Princess on that fateful and special day in 1956, 30 million people watched as she and the Prince tied the knot alongside a 1500 string press entourage. It was said that more people reported on their wedding than throughout the entirety of World War 2! Her dress was the essence of luxury and she looked every inch the Princess dressed in 125 year old Brussels lace, yards of silk taffeta and thousands of hand sewn pearls. The dress took 36 seamstresses 6 weeks to complete!
8. Jay Z and Beyonce
Another private and intimate affair that no-one knew much about until the couple released a short clip of their nuptials recently for their 7th Anniversary. Beyonce was seen wearing blue nail varnish that was to signify their future daughter, Blue Ivy. Once they got married, they walked through a winter wonderland scene complete with icicles. An idyllic end to a perfect day.
7. Kim and Kanye
Unlike the celebrity couples before them, they chose to advertise their nuptials to the whole world with instagrammed selfies galore. Kim and Kanye had their photo's done with matching leather jackets with "just married" on. Their daughter was also a huge part of the day, she wore a dress made from the same lace as her mum, Kim.
6. William and Kate
Prince William married Kate Middleton in 2011 in the grand location of Westminster Abbey. The whole world got in on the Wills and Kate action and thousands came out to London on the day to congratulate the new Duke and Duchess of Cambridge as they shared a kiss on the balcony of Buckingham Palace. Kate wore a dress by Alexander McQueen and wowed crowds and fellow fashionistas alike. Amongst the star studded guests were Iconic power couple, Posh and Becks. After the madness of their day, they retreated to the Seychelles for their honeymoon.

An intimate Italian affair that is typical of the very private couple, Justin serenaded his bride-to-be down the aisle with a song he wrote especially for their big day. She wowed in a pink Giambattista Valli dress that departed from the traditional white gown.
4. Olivia Palermo
The couple opted for an intimate ceremony in Bedford, NYC with a handful of family and friends. Olivia wore a bridal outfit made by Carolina Herrera and opted for something less traditional and wore a cream cashmere sweater and white shorts that were veiled by ostrich feathers and for the makeup look, she kept it nice and simple.

She wedded her partner in Marrakesh with a star studded guest listed that included the biggest names in British fashion. Princess Beatrice was also present. The couple opted for a hippy theme to their wedding and Poppy wore a dress adorned with pastel colour flower embellishments.
2. Solange Knowles
Singer and sister to Beyonce married her director boyfriend in a ceremony that was intimate and oozed personality. All guests were asked to wear white and the bride and groom rocked up to the ceremony on separate bicycles. The only problem occured when her husband to be got a puncture in his bike tyre and had to walk the rest of the way but other than this little hiccup, the rest of the day was idyllic.

A truly amazing small Venetian ceremony. The wedding party arrived in style on a floatilla to the Venetian City Hall for the civil ceremony. The bride kept it simple with a white trouser suit and guests included Hollywood star Matt Damon and U2 singer, Bono. Tourists showed up in crowds on bridges and looked on as the happy couple floated past them as newlyweds.
So, there you have it! Our number one wedding belongs to George and Amal Clooney, with their extravagant yet elegant Italian celebration, we think it looked amazing.
